Coverage and troubleshooting
Where Archinaut data is available, what the add-on messages mean, notes for macOS and the most frequent questions from architects.

Data coverage #
Not every feature works across the whole of Poland. The data comes from official services, and these differ between counties (powiaty) and municipalities (gminy). Below we have collected what you can expect.

Messages #
The add-on shows messages in the status bar at the bottom of the palette, in the Archicad Report (Window › Palettes › Report) and in dialog windows. We quote the messages as they are displayed: many of them are written without Polish characters, and long dashes are shown here as "-". Some messages refer to old button names. In the tables we give the current name from the palette. The messages are in Polish only, so the first column keeps the Polish text, followed by an English translation in italics.
The two most frequent name changes: „1. Pobierz elementy” (1. Download elements) is today the „1. Pobierz” (1. Download) button, and „Ustaw lokalizacje projektu wg mapy” (Set the project location from the map) is today „📍 Ustaw lokalizację” (Set location).
License and version block #

macOS #
On macOS the add-on is not signed with Apple. The most frequent problems:
- The add-on does not load or the system blocks it. Follow the Terminal steps from the section installation on macOS. Type the commands by hand, do not copy them. The full instructions are also at https://archinaut.pl/mac.html.
- The "Permission denied" error. You forgot
sudoin the first command. - Double-clicking the package brings up a block window. Do not open
GIS_ARCHICAD.bundleby double-clicking. Archicad loads the add-on itself. - The add-on does not start after changing the Archicad version. The package must match the version (Archicad 23-30, Windows and macOS). Download the right one.
- Where is the cloud file? By default in Dokumenty/Archinaut/Chmury (Documents/Archinaut/Chmury). If Documents is synchronized in iCloud Drive, the file goes to the home folder, in the
Archinaut/Chmuryfolder. The exact path is shown in the „Chmura gotowa” (Cloud ready) window. If there are problems with saving, the file may go to the program data folder~/Library/Application Support/Archinaut_Cloud, which Finder hides. Use the „Otwórz folder” (Open folder) button. - Pasting the path in the import window. In the file selection window press ⌘⇧G, paste the path (⌘V) and Enter - importing the E57 file.
- The message „Nie udało się - ścieżka zaznaczona, skopiuj ⌘C” (Failed - path selected, copy with ⌘C). The „KOPIUJ” (Copy) button could not copy. Copy the selected path by hand.
Frequently asked questions #
Does the add-on work without internet? No. Every feature downloads data on the fly, and the license is checked online. There is no offline mode.
How much does it cost and who can buy it? The price list and terms are at https://archinaut.pl/#cennik. Paid licenses are sold to companies and sole proprietorships with a Polish tax number (NIP). One license covers all features, Archicad 23-30, and Windows and macOS.
Can students use it for free? Yes, there is a free educational license, for learning only. The rules: educational license.
On how many computers can I use the license? On one. To move it to another, first disconnect the old one - activation.
Is the data up to date? The add-on downloads it at the moment of import from official services, so it is as current as those services. 3D LOD2 buildings come from separate GUGiK surveys and may not match today's state. The add-on remembers downloaded NMT, LiDAR and 3D building files on disk, so importing the same area again does not download them again.
Why does my county not have some layer? The services are run by counties and municipalities, and each does it differently. Check the coverage table and the messages. The message under the status bar usually says directly what is missing.
What is the largest frame? It depends on the feature. BDOT500 lines and 3D streets: up to 1 km2. Bridges: up to about 5 x 5 km. Point cloud: up to 8 million points. Terrain from the NMT at a 1 m step covers about 800 m on a side, and a larger step lets you cover more. Start with small frames.
Can I edit the inserted elements? Yes. The add-on inserts ordinary Archicad elements (Polylines, Fills, Meshes, Morphs, images), which you edit like your own. You insert the point cloud yourself and edit it like any cloud in Archicad.
Can I undo an import? Yes. The whole insertion is one operation, so a single Undo (Ctrl+Z) removes everything.
Why is the plan slightly rotated relative to the map? The Polish official system PL-2000 has a grid north slightly different from the web map. This is intended - georeferencing.
How do I report a bug or an idea? In the contact section at https://archinaut.pl/#kontakt. Include the text of the message and the name of the town or the frame where the problem occurred.
